Gaziantep is located in the south-eastern region of Anatolia in Mesopotamia. The city is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Its history dates back to the Bronze Age and is home to Hittite, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman layers.
